What is Experience "R" Travel?Experience "R" Travel is a travel agency based out of Rochester, NY that works with individuals, groups, and families, to plan awesome experiences. Experience "R" Travel also plans events that people can just tag along by purchasing their spot. Finally, there are exclusive experiences that Experience "R" Travel has access to that not many others can. All you have to do is join the R Travelers mailing list and get the information you need to sample the special experience.

What are Planned Experiences?Planned Experiences are experiences that Experience "R" Travel plans and welcomes people to just tag along. The experiences range from cruises, concerts, ski resorts, beach get-a-ways, and more. All you need to do to join these Planned Experiences is to purchase a spot, pack your bag(s), and meet up at the starting location.

What arrangements are taken care of for Planned Experiences?For Planned Experiences, we can manage the travel to/from the starting location to the experience destination, hotels/lodging at the destination, tickets/passes to any planned events, and in some situations we also take care of some of the meals.

What are Custom Experiences?Custom Experiences are trips where people who contact Experience "R" Travel can tell us where they want to go, when they want to go, how long they want to stay, and what they want to do, and we work to plan that experience for you or your group. You tell us what you want and we take care of the rest.

What arrangements are taken care of for Custom Experiences?For Custom Experiences, we manage the travel to/from the experience destination and hotels/lodging at the destination. As you tell us more information about what you want to do, we will take care of the arrangements for excursions, events, attractions, and more. As you tell us what you want, we work to create a package that is customized for you for a hassle and stress free experience.

What are the COVID-19 restrictions/guidelines for trips?There are different guidelines for COVID-19 depending on where you are traveling to. At the time of this writing, for international travel, for many countries, you do not need to provide a negative COVID-19 test. As we plan your custom experience or you join a planned experience, specific guidelines about COVID-19 will be provided.

How do I pay for my experience/trip?Paying for a Planned or Custom Experience: One or two person experience: If it is a one or two person Experience, there is a deposit due at the start of the booking which will be applied to the total cost of the trip. You can pay for the trip in full or pay in installments agreed upon after the total cost of trip is calculated. Credit card authorizations are the only form of payment accepted at this time. Group/Family Experience: We ask that a point person is chosen for the group/family who will coordinate the trip with our advisors and confirm the options selected by the group. A deposit will be due at the start of the booking process which will be applied to the total cost of the experience/trip. Individual travelers within the group can pay for the experience/trip in full or pay in installments agreed upon after the total cost of the trip is calculated. Credit card authorizations are the only form of payment accepted at this time.

Can I get a refund for my experience/trip?Travel insurance recommendations are made to all clients. Refunds are reviewed on a case by case basis due to a variety of factors such as but not limited to airline cancellation policies, cruise cancellation policies, hotel/lodging cancellation policies, event cancellation policies, food cancellation policies, travel insurance coverage stipulations and more. Specfic refund information (if applicable) will be provided for each individual experience/trip.
